FAQs

Straight answers to the common questions.

What does FTTC stand for?

Fibre to the Cabinet. An FTTC service provides fibre to the local street cabinet, with a copper network providing the last-mile connection to your premises.

What does FTTP and FTTH stand for?

Fibre to the Premises and Fibre to the Home. Fibre optic cable runs all the way between your provider and your home or premises, for superfast speeds and reliable connectivity.

What is standard broadband?

Standard broadband typically means ADSL (Asymmetric Digital Subscriber Line) technology, delivered over the copper network.

What is gigabit broadband?

Gigabit broadband typically refers to fibre broadband capable of speeds over 1Gb.

Is fullfibrebroadband.com involved in fibre builds?

We do not install our own fibre. We own and operate our own network but connect with Openreach and other providers to deliver the last mile to your premises.

Does the checker show future build plans?

We do not provide results on future build plans. Register your details with the checker and we will contact you as and when full fibre comes to your area.
